Mathematics Lesson Plans
It is a great idea for Teachers to have a Website for each of their classes to consolidate their learning and have a one-stop-shop to all of that subject resources. This is a sample site to demonstrate what such a web site might look like using Google Sites.
The lessons below are designed to implement iPads in the Mathematics classroom as an enrichment tool — to assist making Maths more enjoyable and enhance student learning.

3. Patterns and Rules — Year 7 Algebra
Algebra can be used to represent patterns where we can write rules or formulae to describe patterns. This lesson provides some number patterns where the student will use the app Desmos to plot the points, then deduce the rule for the number pattern. The student will then add the rule in Desmos which will graph over the plotted points if their rule is correct.

In this lesson, staff can use the Explain Everything template to teach and record their own lesson, or provide the template to their students who can use it as their own explanation source — perhaps recording their solution and providing it to the teacher, or the rest of the class.
